The 2019 Application Process is currently OPEN.

Students are to collect a form from the HPE staffroom.

With the support of our sponsors and our P&C, Wavell Rugby League is able to offer numerous scholarships to deserving students.

Wavell State High School offers what we believe is the most comprehensive player welfare-oriented Rugby League program in Queensland.  Our multi-faceted program presents students with the opportunity to improve their rugby league skills through outstanding coaching and participation in elite competitions. The school teams have a strong tradition of outstanding results in these competitions and a culture that strives for excellence.

In 2018, Wavell State High School will be offering a limited number of Rugby League Scholarships. These will be open to students who demonstrate outstanding work ethic and commitment to their studies and Rugby League. Each scholarship will cover the cost of the student’s resource hire scheme as well as their rugby league program fees. Acceptance into the scholarship program will be based on written application and a review of included references. Students who gain a scholarship will need to meet several strict criteria and will be required to maintain these high standards over the course of the year to preserve their scholarship. Their place in the program will be subject to a term by term review of their results (see application form for further details).

To apply for a scholarship, please follow these steps:

1. Read the Scholarship 'Application Process'

2. Download application form, print, and complete
